Environment and Sustainability in Granada, Spain

Sustainability and environment protection are topics that are ongoing and important. The strong insulation and the low levels of wind in southern Spain make Granada and Andalucía a perfect place for renewable energies. The shortage of water is constant in the south where the Sierra Nevada, one of the biggest nature parks in Spain, converts into a natural storage of water. During the course we are going to have a look at solar energy plants, traditional and bioclimatic architecture, the historic neighbourhoods of the Albaycin and Sacromonte and environmental projects.
