At any one time, the capacity of the language school is about 50 students.
On average, our students are between 20 and 28 years old. Normally there are also younger and older students studying with us.
Our students generally come from Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, Japan and the USA.
If you're not a beginner you can start your Spanish course every Monday. Beginners can only start on the following dates for 2009:

You can enrol for Spanish courses from 1 week up to 12 months.
Yes, you can extend your Spanish course for as many weeks as you like.
Intensive Spanish courses are 4 daily classes from Monday to Friday.
In all cases one class is 45 academic minutes.
Yes, you can have 1 or 2 private daily classes in addition to your Intensive Spanish course (Intensive Plus5 or Plus10), or just choose any number of private Spanish classes.
For Intensive Spanish Courses we use the six level framework of language proficiency developed by the Council of European Languages: Basic User: A1 and A2 Independent User: B1 and B2 Proficient User: C1 and C2
The week before starting your Spanish language course in Granada you will have to complete the Spanish test on our website. On your first day here at Escuela Delengua you will have an informal conversation that will also help us assess your level.
Yes, you can, just speak to your teacher to discuss it.
Normally Intensive Spanish courses are in the morning: 10.00-10.45, 10.45-11.30, 12.00-12.45 and 12.45-13.30 h. Sometimes Intensive Spanish courses can also be held in the afternoon or evening.
There are 2 to a maximum of 8 students per class.
The class will take place, but the length of the class will be reduced.
No, the teachers will provide all your course material. If you would like extra help, Spanish grammar books are available to borrow from our library.
There are no official exams, but teachers can test you when it is felt necessary.
Yes, we can prepare you for the D.E.L.E. (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) which is the only examination recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education
There are three levels of study: INITIAL for people who have mastered the basics of the Spanish language; INTERMEDIATE for people who have a good all round knowledge of Spanish; SUPERIOR is for fluent speakers.
At the end of each Spanish course all students receive a certificate that confirms the type of Spanish course completed, its duration, intensity and the level reached.
We have a Spanish and Latin-American History and Art course, a Spanish and Latin-American Literature course, a Legal Spanish course, a Medical Spanish course, a Spanish for Tourism course, and a Spanish for Business course. These special Spanish courses consist of 2 daily classes.
Yes, in the summer we organise a 'Spanish course for teenagers' (between 13 and 17 years old) with Spanish classes, accommodation with Spanish families and a varied programme of activities.
We organise Flamenco Dance courses and Private Flamenco Guitar courses. Per week there are 8 Flamenco Dance classes and you can choose how many Flamenco Guitar classes you want.
Yes, like normal Spanish courses, you will be given a certificate that confirms the type of course, duration, intensity and level attained.
You need flamenco shoes, or at least wide-heeled shoes, and comfortable clothes.
No, we can lend you a flamenco guitar for the duration of your course.
Parties and meals with an Andalusian/Spanish flavour, guided visits to monuments and popular places of interest (the Alhambra and Generalife, Granada Cathedral, the Cartuja, the Royal Chapel, Sacromonte Abbey, the Albayzín...), tapas tours, Flamenco nights, Spanish and Latin-American films, trips to Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, the Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarras.
Entrance fees and trips are not included in the Spanish course fees, but the organisation of all activities is free.
We organize at least five activities per week.
Yes, there is always a tutor guiding students and they can provide all the information you need to know about the particular activity.
You can choose between a shared flat in the centre of Granada with other students, a Spanish host family or a hostel/hotel.
The flats are in the centre of Granada, normally between 1 and 10 minutes walking distance from the language school. Spanish families may live up to 20 minutes walking distance away from the school.
You may choose either a double or single room.
All apartments have fully equipped communal kitchens, bathrooms with hot water, sitting rooms, washing machines, and TVs. Many have a patio or balcony. Bedding is provided, but bath towels are not.
Between 2 to 5 people share each flat. Sometimes flats can be for more people.
No, these expenses are included in the total price.
The school chooses where and with whom students live. We try to mix up the different nationalities.
If you are coming with a friend we can organise accommodation in a double room for both of you. Please let us know when you both fill in your registration forms.
Yes, you can.
We have known and worked with the same host families for a very long time. The families are experienced in hosting foreign students and they do their best to make your stay enjoyable.
Half-board (breakfast and one meal) or full board is included in the price of accommodation with a Spanish family. In shared accommodation meals are not included but the accommodation is fully equipped for cooking.
You will stay in a bedroom and will share the house and eat together with the family.You will have a key to the house. The family will also do your laundry and clean for you once a week.
If there is any problem we will help arrange accommodation with another family.
Yes, it is possible, but it is better and easier if it is planned in advance.
Yes, you can still stay with one of our Spanish families. They will be able to cook vegetarian food for you, or arrange special requirements for you. When you fill in the registration form, just let us know your dietary requirements.
Just fill in the form online and send it by e-mail, fax or post to our office. At the same time you should send an advance payment of 90 euros.
By bank transfer, credit card (see how to register for bank details and the link for credit card payments) or by postal order to our office in Granada.
The remaining Spanish course fees have to be paid on the first day of class, in cash.
People aged 18 or over can register for Spanish courses. People who are 16 years old can register for Spanish courses with parental authorisation. In July we organize courses specifically for students between 13 and 17 years old.
All changes made before the Spanish course starts can be donesubject to availability (always try to make changes at least 1 week in advance). Once the Spanish course has started, please refer to our cancellation policy.
All cancellations must be made in writing. If cancellations occur up to three weeks before the Spanish course starts we will charge a fee of 45 Euros. If a cancellation is made within the three weeks before the start of the Spanish course, your 90 euro deposit will not be reimbursed. No refunds will be given if you choose to leave before the end of the course. If you bring someone else to take your place, you will not have to pay any cancellation fees.
Normally students arrive in Granada on Sunday and leave on Saturday. If you need to arriveor leave on a different day, please contact us.
We will give you all the necessary information, including the meeting point, together with the confirmation letter of your Spanish language course. We will give you also a mobile phone number that you can reach us on in case of problems.
Yes, there is a pick up service from both Granada airport and Malaga airport. A pick up service from other airports can be arranged as well. This service should be booked in advance.
We will give you a contact phone number enclosed with your confirmation in case of late arrival or problems.
Buses leave the airport after the arrival of each flight. In the event of a delay, the bus will wait for the arrival of the delayed flight.

Se non concedono il visto allo studente, per ricevere il rimborso dell'importo versato dovrá spedire, al nostro ufficio, la lettera ufficiale riguardante il rifiuto del visto almeno tre settimane prima dell'inizio del corso. Si restituirà l'importo totale versato meno le spese di gestione (bonifico bancario, chiamate telefoniche, fax...).
Lo studente è responsabile di tutto il processo per la richiesta del visto e pertanto dovrebbe contattare l'Ambasciata spagnola o il Consolato più vicini per ricevere informazioni sulla possibilità di studiare in Spagna. Se lo studente ha bisogno di una lettera di conferma firmata dalla scuola per richiedere il visto, Delengua procederà con l'invio della lettera solo dopo aver ricevuto almeno il 50% dell'importo totale del corso. Siamo a tua disposizione per qualsiasi dubbio.
Se vieni da un Paese dell'Unione Europea non hai bisogno di nessun visto. Se invece vieni da altri Paesi, per favore contatta l'Ambasciata spagnola del tuo Paese.
Sí, puedes pagar con tu tarjeta de crédito en la mayoría de las tiendas y de los restaurantes.
Nuestra Escuela aconseja a los estudiantes que obtengan un seguro. En el precio del curso no está incluido el seguro. Recomendamos a los ciudadanos de Unión Europea que obtengan en la sanidad pública de sus países de origen la Tarjeta Sanitaria Europea, mediante la cual obtendrán asistencia sanitaria pública gratuita en España.

Si el estudiante no puede asistir al curso por el rechazo del visado, para obtener el reembolso del dinero anticipado, tendrá que enviar a la oficina de la escuela la carta oficial de rechazo por lo menos tres semanas antes del inicio del curso. Se devolverá todo el dinero menos los gastos administrativos (transferencias bancarias, llamadas telefónicas, fax, etc. ).
Si recibimos la anulación con menos de tres semanas antes del inicio del curso se devolverá el importe pagado menos 90 y los gastos administrativos.
El estudiante es responsable de todo el procedimiento de solicitud del visado y por eso debería de contactar la embajada española o el consulado más cercano sobre los requisitos para estudiar en España. Si el estudiante necesita una carta de confirmación por parte de la escuela para solicitar al visado, Delengua enviará la carta después de recibir al menos el 50% del precio total. Para cualquier duda estaremos a tu disposición.
Si vienes de un país de la Unión Europea, no necesitas ningún visado de estudiante. Si vienes de otros países, por favor, contacta la embajada española de tu país.

Als je niet aan de cursus kan deelnemen vanwege de weigering van je visum, zullen we het cursusgeld restitueren. Dan moet je wel minstens drie weken voordat de cursus begint, de officiële weigeringsbrief naar ons kantoor sturen. We zullen al het geld restitueren behalve administratiekosten (zoals voor bankoverschrijvingen, telefoongesprekken, fax, etc.). Als we je annulering minder dan 3 weken voor het begin van de cursus ontvangen, zullen we ook de aanbetaling van 90 euro op de restitutie inhouden.
De student is verantwoordelijk voor alle visumaanvragen. Daarom moet hij of zij zelf contact opnemen met de Spaanse Ambassade van zijn of haar land. Als de student een bevestigingsbrief van de school nodig heeft om het visum te kunnen aanvragen, zullen wij die opsturen na betaling van 50 % van de totale cursusprijs. Bij eventuele twijfels zullen we proberen je verder van dienst te zijn.
Als je uit de Europese Unie komt, heb je geen visum nodig. Als je uit een ander land komt, kan het zijn dat je een studentenvisum nodig hebt. Neem daarover alsjeblieft contact op met de Spaanse Ambassade van jouw land.
Oui, vous pouvez payer par carte bancaire dans la plupart des boutiques et des restaurants.
Notre Ecole conseille aux étudiants d'avoir une assurance santé. Dans le prix du cours, cette assurance maladie n'est pas inclue. Nous conseillons aux citoyens de l'Union Européenne d'obtenir auprès de la Sécurité Sociale de leur pays d'origine la Carte Européenne d'Assurance Maladie, grâce à laquelle vous pourrez bénéficier d'une couverture sociale gratuite en Espagne.
Il n'y a pas cours pendant les fêtes nationales. Vous pouvez consulter les dates correspondant aux jours fériés sur notre site internet, rubrique « Dates et Prix ».
Si l'étudiant ne peut pas assister au cours en raison du refus de l'octroi du visa, il devra envoyer aux bureaux de l'Ecole Delengua, afin de recevoir le remboursement du paiement anticipé, la lettre officielle de refus au minimum 3 semaines avant la date de début des cours. Il lui sera alors remboursé la somme qu'il aura réglée moins les frais administratifs (virements bancaires, appels téléphoniques, fax, etc.) Si nous recevons l’annulation moins de 3 semaines avant la date prévue pour le début des cours, il lui sera remboursé la somme réglée moins 90 € auxquels s'ajoutent les frais administratifs.
L'étudiant est responsable de toutes les démarches concernant cette demande de visa et pour cela, il devra contacter l'Ambassade d'Espagne ou le Consulat le plus proche pour s'informer des démarches à suivre afin de pouvoir partir étudier en Espagne. Si l'étudiant a besoin d'une lettre de confirmation de la part de l'Ecole, nécessaire à l'obtention du visa, Delengua enverra cette lettre après avoir reçu au minimum 50% du prix total.
Si vous venez d'un pays de l'Union Européenne, vous n'avez pas besoin de visa d'étudiants. Si vous venez d'un autre pays, merci de bien vouloir contacter dans ce cas, l'Ambassade d'Espagne de votre pays.

Yes, you can pay with a credit card in most big stores and restaurants.
We recommend that you apply for an insurance policy before your trip. Insurance is not included in the Spanish course price. European Union citizens are advised to bring with them their European Health Insurance Card which provides free public health assistance.
You won't have classes on national Bank Holidays. You can check the national holidays under 'Prices & Dates'.
If the visa is denied students have to send the official letter of denial to the school at least 3 weeks prior to the start of their course in order to be refunded.
All money will be reimbursed minus administration costs (bank transfers, phone calls, faxes etc.). If we receive the cancellation within the 3 weeks prior to the start of the course 90 EUR will be deducted from the total refund due to administration costs.
The student is responsible for the all visa application processes, and for this they should contact their closest Spanish embassy. Escuela Delengua will provide a letter of confirmation to help with the application process. Delengua will send the letter after being paid at least 50% of the total price. For any other enquiries we will be glad to help you.
If you come from a country within the European Union, then you don't need a Student Visa. For other countries, please contact the Spanish embassy in your own country.
